Thank you so much to all of our early supporters. Thanks to your commitment and belief, the Airport Board seat was uncontested, and therefore I've been appointed to the TTAD Board beginning Jan. '27! I'm excited to serve everyone in our community in a new way! Thank you so much!
Our community is Tahoe-Truckee-strong, and that means we also need a resilient airport. Safety should consider those in the air and those on the ground. That’s why I will build on fire mitigation investments, pilot safety training programs, and noise mitgation efforts.
Our airport has made recent progress in becoming a better community partner, and I want to strengthen those ties. You know me as someone who cares deeply for our North Tahoe and Truckee communities, and I'll stay committed to that ethos during my service on the airport board.
My career as a high school teacher has been about making sure our kids find and make most of opportunities. Through new STEAM/CTE partnerships with our school district, we can turn our airport into a vocational training asset that can help our kids find good-paying careers in aviation.
For over a decade, Craig Rowe—known by many as "Rowe"—has worked to become a trusted community leader and mentor to hundreds of local students and their families as a TTUSD educator, and as the founding director of La Fuerza Latina, a college and career access program. Rowe has a deep belief in our Tahoe-Truckee community, and he has the skills to build partnerships across every neighborhood in our region.
"I’ve witnessed incredible generosity in time, energy, and financial resources from all over Tahoe-Truckee," he says. "I’m ready to harness that goodwill to make our airport a stronger community resource."
